There’s no better place to truly un-wine-d than among the rolling vineyards of America’s original wine country. Trybal’s Sonoma Valley getaway is located at Camp Newman in Santa Rosa, California. Our home away from home is situated on 500 acres of sloping mountainsides and homegrown vineyards, offering sweeping panoramic views and tranquil serenity. This all-inclusive weekend will blend the best of traditional camp with local flavors. Did we mention that Santa Rosa is also home to the world-famous Russian River Brewery? Between activities like yoga, the 400’ zipline, arts & crafts, color war, and a relaxing Shabbat experience, there will be ample time to enjoy the local tastings that we bring to camp. Toss in our menu of creative programs you’ll spend a blissful weekend connecting with new friends while disconnecting from the real world. This experience is yours to make what you want of it.

You’ll get to customize each day by choosing from dozens of classic and out-of-the-box camp activities. While we encourage you to try something new, you're in charge of your own schedule. This weekend is yours to relax and recharge the way you want. A typical experience may include:

LODGING

We offer two housing options for the weekend, including traditional cabins and an upgrade option for a private room in Camp Newman's remodeled private housing.

CABINS

These eco-friendly cabins were built in 2014 and are included in the registration fee. Each cabin has 8 beds and 2 showers. You can opt for co-ed or same-gender housing. Groups of 8-16 can request a private cabin.

Cabins Include:

  • Modern bunk beds

  • Cozy bedding

  • Bathrooms & showers

  • Storage space

  • A/C

RETREAT CENTER

The "Motel" are Newman's recently renovated private apartments, offering extra comfort those wanting a little extra R+R. There is an additional fee per person to stay in the Motel, with single and double occupancy options.

The Motel Includes:

  • 1 full-sized bed or 2 twin bunk beds

  • Private bathrooms

  • Individually controlled heat and A/C

GETTING TO CAMP

Camp Newman is located in Santa Rosa, CA:

  • 1.5 hours from San Francisco

  • 2 hours from Sacramento

  • 7 hours from Los Angeles

It's free to park at URJ Camp Newman We encourage people to carpool with one another to camp. Whether you have four extra seats or need to hitch a ride, we'll help coordinate by sending out a ride-share document after registration.

Timing: Check in is from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Friday, August 25. Camp ends by 1:00 pm on Monday, August 28. In extenuating circumstances and with advanced notice, you can arrive late or leave early, but program fees cannot be prorated. 

Terms & Conditions: All rates are listed per person. Additional Eventbrite registration fees apply. All payments are fully refundable until 60 days prior to camp's start date. Registration closes August 1, 2017. Enrollment is subject to availability.
