February 27 - March 5, 2024

June 27 - July 4, 2024

Green Background

VOLUNTEER FOR ISRAEL. IN ISRAEL.

Join Trybal Gatherings and Birthright Israel on an unforgettable experience in Israel this winter. As we grapple with the aftermath of the October 7 attacks in Israel, now is the time to make a difference with our hands and feet, and provide support where it is needed most. From agricultural harvesting to packing food and supplies for displaced families, you’ll make an impact and stand with Israel during a pivotal time in history.

This Onward Volunteer Program is funded by Birthright Israel for travelers ages 23-40 – regardless of prior Israel program experience. This track is organized by Israel Outdoors in partnership with Trybal Gatherings. Connect with other Trybal campers from around the country and Israel while making a difference during this moment of need. Due to high demand, we've added a second trip date for summer 2024. Apply early, spots are filled on a rolling basis!

VOLUNTEERING

You'll give of yourself 4-7 hours a day in areas where assistance is most needed.

LOGISTICAL CENTERS

During times of crisis, it is our obligation to give. Come work alongside leading NGOs to provide humanitarian assistance for civil and military personnel, displaced communities, and security services. You’ll help sort, package, and distribute goods where they are most needed, demonstrating mutual responsibility and care for one another.

Example Partners | Pitchon Lev, Latet

AGRICULTURE

After October 7, many farm workers were called up for army service and foreign workers returned to their home countries. Israel needs volunteers to take part in food rescue operations to prevent shortages in the Israeli market. From picking strawberries and oranges to harvesting greens, you’ll assist farmers tending to and harvesting crops so they don’t go to waste and can be donated to those who are in need.

Example Partners | Hashomer Hachadash, Leket

Please note: All volunteer options are subject to change due to changing civil, social & security needs, regulations, and restrictions. Additional volunteer opportunities may available as the situation evolves.

Green Gradient

traveling safely

Our trusted partners at Israel Outdoors have extensive experience leading tens of thousands of people in Israel for over 20 years. While these are difficult days in Israel, this organized volunteering initiative will proceed only if we are confident in being able to provide a safe and meaningful travel experience. Rest assured that we provide 24/7 staff supervision, all of our accommodations are equipped with "safe rooms", and we travel together as a group for organized programming.

Given the hands-on nature of the experience, capacity is limited and spots are available first-come first-serve. Registration ends when the trip is filled or on June 10, whichever comes first.
