Inspired by Birthright alumni and a lifelong passion for color war, Trybal aims to bring the magic of immersive experiences for young adults back to North America. Our team is second to none. We are camp professionals, experience designers, ski junkies, DJs, educators, artists, travel geeks, and friends. Together, we are committed to delivering exceptional programs that are inviting to Jewish young adults of all backgrounds.
founder & CEo
Born and raised in the Boston area, Carine has over 15 years experience working in Jewish travel and experiential marketing. Carine has served in a number of roles, including the Director of Marketing at Authentic Israel, as a consultant for Start-Up Nation Central in Tel Aviv & The iCenter in Chicago, and as a tour guide for LivingSocial Adventures. Carine is a Wexner Graduate Fellow and ROI alum. In 2018, she was named a "36 Under 36" by The Jewish Week and a Chai in the Hub honoree by CJP in Boston. Carine holds a B.S. in Anthropology from Bates College, a Certificate in Marketing from Georgetown University, and an MBA with honors from Boston University's Questrom School of Business. Carine is a proud alumna of URJ Eisner Camp.
Chief Growth Officer
Miriam Chilton is an innovative leader who stimulates organizational growth and transformational change by creating experiences that help people flourish. She has worked in non-profits for the last 20 years after a successful run working in corporate America. Miriam most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades and for 15 years prior, Miriam worked at the Union for Reform Judaism as Vice President, Youth leading and managing their youth engagement strategy. Miriam has an MBA/MS MIS from Boston University and works to balance entrepreneurial and system-based strategies to drive growth. Miriam is a NJ resident. She is a newly-minted pickleball zealot, is always seeking new Hudson Valley trails, and enjoys nothing more than a good meal and playing games with family and friends.
Sr. Operations Director
As a lifelong camping professional, Seth brings more than 18 years of experience in the field helping to craft and guide transformative journeys. Seth earned his BA in history from Drake University and began his career as a youth director. His lifelong love of camping led him to Los Angeles/Malibu to join Camp Hess Kramer and Gindling Hilltop. After 12 unforgettable years directing the camps, Seth and his wife returned to his native St. Louis to be closer to family. Seth brings a playful and analytically balanced approach to the Trybal team along with his wealth of camping knowledge. Seth thrives on culinary creativity, loves spending time researching tech, passionately follows the St. Louis Cardinals, and most of all cherishes moments with his wife Serena, and their two dogs Lydia and Einstein.
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Laura Schultze is a project planner and storyteller who empowers people through stories, events and experiences. Over the past decade in New York City, Laura has left an indelible mark on the Jewish nonprofit and educational landscape during her time at B’nai Jeshrun and Jewish Teens Funder Network. With a background in educational theater and stage management, complemented by a B.A. in Drama from San Francisco State University, Laura weaves creativity, precision and organizational systems into her creation of camp and retreat experiences. Rooted in her camp experience as an alum of URJ Camp Newman, Laura brings a wealth of enthusiasm and passion to her role with the Trybal Gatherings team. When she’s not at camp, Laura spends her time exploring NYC’s boroughs, going on long walks with her rescue dog, Gilly, and is always on the lookout for the best burger.
Marketing Director
Jordan is a purpose-driven marketing leader and entrepreneur inspired by Jewish pride and joy. He joins Trybal after running his own clothing brand, bubuleh, for three years. Previously, he served as Director of Marketing for one of the largest LGBTQ media companies in the US. His work has been featured in Variety, Hey Alma, Jewish Insider, Tablet, the Hollywood Reporter and more, and he’s excited by working on innovative projects and campaigns that generate buzz and bring positivity to the world. Jordan holds a BA from NYU, where he served on Hillel Board and founded Keshet LGBTQ Jews on Campus. Originally from the Boston area, Jordan has worked and lived all over the country and Tel Aviv, and is primarily based in Los Angeles. One of the biggest animal lovers you’ll meet, he is also an avid photographer and loves meeting new people too!
Operations MANAGER
Jacob is an operations professional and entrepreneur who thrives in creating processes that create strong foundations for programmatic and business success. Previously, he worked for a synagogue consulting firm, helping grow their operations, and he has taught at numerous congregations throughout the Boston area, blending his love of STEM with Jewish education. He received his bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and completed a master’s in Technical Entrepreneurship at the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business. Outside of Trybal, Jacob volunteers with the FIRST Robotics Competition as a Technical Advisor, helping to plan and run high school robotics events across New England and the rest of the country. Jacob lives in the suburbs west of Boston with his wife Hannah.
Community MANAGER
Inspired by her formative years growing up as both a camper and staff member at URJ Greene Family Camp, Maddie's professional journey has centered around cultivating fun and meaningful experiences. A proud alumna of the University of Oregon, Maddie holds a degree in Planning, Public Policy, & Management. Her career as a Jewish professional started as the Springboard Social Justice Fellow at Texas Hillel in Austin and led to her impactful tenure at BB Camp, where she began as the Assistant Director of Programming, rising through the ranks to become the Camp Director. In her spare time, Maddie remains committed to giving back, serving on the Advisory Board of Camp Kesem at Oregon. Outside of Trybal, she can be found exploring local running routes and perfecting her at-home coffee creations.
PROGRAM MANAGER
Becky joins the Trybal family after leading arts and crafts at Trybal Berkshires camps for several years. With a background in arts education and jewish learning, including a B.A. in Theatre Education from Emerson College and a M.A. in Directing from Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, Becky is so excited to see her passions align at Camp. Becky can often be found where Jewish meets Arts in the Boston area, including work with Jewish Arts Collaborative, Eser, Limmud, community artist Tova Speter, and more. She also keeps busy running Theatre 370 out of Holliston High School and raising a tiny diva. Becky proudly lives in Norfolk, MA with her husband Greg and daughter Davi.
